A Healing Sanctity

Beauty is the window by which we look through, to our ultimate good, God. As we’re shaped ever deeper into Christ’s patterns of thinking and feeling and acting, we’ll sense a drawing into His created world. He empowers us to see our native landscapes as His creative work, giving them gravitas, giving them a healing sanctity. We need to see the fluttering butterfly, the flowering bush, and the flowing brook. God shares His character through the world He’s given us. The strength of the mountain, the gentleness of the stream, the order in the stars—it all speaks to who He is and who He’s calling us to become. John Muir was right, “In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks.”
