In the Dwell Daily for August 14, Nebuchadnezzar’s fall in Daniel 4 reminded me that God prunes in order to restore. The tree cut down still held roots, waiting for life to rise again. This truth moves me — God doesn’t discard us, even at our lowest. He is always tending to the hidden places that feel like they’re all but dead, coaxing new shoots out of old soil. I’m asking myself — where do I need to lift my eyes and trust His mercy afresh?
